Samet Wins National Safety Excellence Award

The Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABC) congratulated the Samet Corporation as winner of the 2014 National Safety Excellence Merit Award.   The recognition was presented to Samet at the 25th annual Excellence in Construction Awards banquet in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at the ABC National Spring meetings.

Carolinas Electricians Recognized as Best in the Country

Charlotte, NC —The Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABC) is pleased toannounceJesse Babington,Watson Electrical (Charleston, SC Office) was named the best electrician in the country winning the Gold Medal at the National Craft Championships in theCommercial Electrical division. Russell Johnson, Watson Electrical (Raleigh, NC Office) won the Bronze medal.

ABC of the Carolinas Wins Coveted National Mullan Award

Charlotte, NC —The Associated Buildersand Contractors of theCarolinas(ABC) recently received theNational Mullan Award for Growth.The Mullan Award was named in honor of ABCfounder and first Chairman of the Board,Charles Mullan. The national Mullan Award is thehighest honor a chapter can receive.The Mullan Award was presented to the Carolinas chapter at the recent national meetings in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Carolinas Contractors Win National Excellence Awards

Charlotte, NC —The Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABC) congratulated the winners of the 25th annual Excellence in Construction Awards where Brasfield & Gorrie was also named ABC’s Contractor of the Year. The best-in-the-industry awards were given to firms that displayed exemplary commitment to safety and diversity in 2014.

ABC Recognizes Legislators with Merit Shop Defenders Award

The Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABC) recognized two legislators on Tuesday during their annual South Carolina Hard Hat Legislative Day. Lt. Governor Henry McMaster kicked off the event with a welcome address and an update on construction and economic development in the state.
