The five-story, 250,000 sq/ft replacement hospital will feature progressive design elements to provide patient and visitor friendly entrances and waiting areas. The new facility will include plenty of convient parking and roads that improve traffic patterns in and around the campus.
Upon completion in 2010, the hospital will meet the latest hurrican and earthquake building code requirements and will include several sustainable elements.

This project was constructed using the Tilt-Up method to meet the owner’s challenging occupancy timeframes and to take full advantage of Tilt-Up’s aesthetic appeal. A cohesive design featured multi-level balconies, arched openings, cupolas, curved panels, and Tilt-Up columns with segmented curved beams. The greatest challenge of this project was the construction of 114,707 sqft of panels on a 39,000 sqft of floor on multiple levels and of irregular shape.

Monteith Construction bought an abandoned building constructed in 1870, located in historic Downtown Wilmington for it’s Wilmington Headquarters. Monteith began restoring this building using numerous green building principles. They started with a resourceful HVAC system for high quality indoor air, a concentrated waste reduction and recycling program, the use of several renewable building products like, bamboo, cork and soy products, just to name a few. In following the green building principles Monteith obtained LEED GOLD certification and is now the first LEED certified building in the Lower Cape Fear region and only the 5th LEED Gold Certified building in North Carolina. Monteith has received an Outstanding Recognition from the Lower Cape Fear Stewardship Development Award Program and was presented the 2008 Award for Restoration Leadership from Wilmington Downtown.
Great Wolf Lodge

Work commenced in Fall 2007 clearning the land and setting foundations for the newest Great Wolf Lodge. The Concord, North Carolina project is a 402-room, 475,000 sq/ft resort with indoor wather park. It is a masonry/ precast, four story structure with a cultured stone and horizontal siding exterior. Kraemer Brothers' team managed the challenges of an extremely aggressive schedule to finish in March 2009, ahead of schedule.
