The Carolinas Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) announced a second major step forward in recent months for the chapter's Workforce Development efforts. In September 2012, ABC announced the purchase of a new education and training facility for apprenticeship, safety, management, and education training.

The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) today was alerted to activity by the IBEW Local 379 targeting members. Nick Brown of IBEW Local 379 was being interviewed on the radio yesterday afternoon in the Upstate and said they are visiting virtually every electrical contractor and their employees in the Upstate.
