Charlotte, NC. - Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Carolinas Chapter today praised the introduction of legislation in South Carolina that will ensure fair and open competition on taxpayer funded construction projects. Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee Chairman William "Bill" Sandifer introduced the "Right to Work Act of 2012" which in addition to other important reforms, would prohibit project labor agreements (PLA) mandates on public construction.
ABC Issues UNIONWATCH ALERT!
Charlotte, NC. - The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) today was alerted to a possible Union-Only PLA (Project Labor Agreement) on Ft. Jackson. ABC strongly opposes any agreements that limit open competition.
